Traveling from the United States

Via Puerto Rico

The British Virgin Islands are some 60 miles due East of Puerto Rico, which is approximately 2 & half hours flying time from Miami and 3 & a half hours from New York. San Juan airport is served by most major cities in the US Via American Airlines. However there is now a choice for East Coast travelers as Jet Blue offers an excellent service from Boston and New York.

Once in San Juan you will need to connect with a commuter flight operated by either American Eagle or Cape Air.

Via St Thomas

Delta Airlines and American along with new entry Spirit, fly to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, as short taxi ride to Tortola Wharf in Charlotte Amelia and on to Tortola after a scenic 50 minute ferry trip through turquoise Caribbean waters.

From Europe

The choice is routing through Antigua with numerous Airlines, Virgin, British Airways or British Midland, and then into Beef Island Tortola with the local Caribbean Airline LIAT if you want to avoid the somewhat haphazard timetable of LIAT it is a good option to charter a small plane to do the hop from Antigua to Beef Island airport.

Entry Requirements

U.S. European Union and Canadian citizens require a valid passport and a return/continuing ticket. Visas may be required from other destinations. Consult your national immigration office.
